Villa in a peaceful historic southern-Italian hill-town, partly built into the 1,000 year old town walls with stunning panoramic views over rolling hills. Its thick stone walls and cloistered ceilings typical of the region that soar to over 4 meters create a relaxing atmosphere and maintain an ideal temperature.

To the front is a narrow street paved with centuries old flag stones while to the rear – as far as the eye can see – are fields that change from a luminous green in spring to a deep gold as the harvest ripens. Just below the terrace the garden slopes down to the olive grove whose olives contribute to some of the best quality oil in the world.

The old town is quiet and peaceful, full of meandering lanes whose churches and old palazzos have seen better days but whose small homes are cosy, busy hives, occupied by the same families for generations.

The house has been sensitively renovated and provides an oasis for those looking for a change of pace from their busy lives. The furnishings are tasteful and comfortable and you can choose to buy some of the local fare and cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen or stroll to Nicola’s to see what’s on today’s menu or even strike out to some of the many restaurants a short distance away.

If your peace of mind means you need to check into the everyday world occasionally, there is an Internet centre two minutes away with computer access and wireless facilities.
